3. I joined the Dance Society!! I now do Beginner's Hip Hop, and Intermediate Ballet. Very fun :) And Showcase in March! That'll be no.50 gone...
6. *BIGGEST JELLY GRIN* I've now done 1 fasciotomy w/ debridement & closure, 1 wedge resection of big toe, 1 patella stabilisation w/ Goldthwaite's procedure, 1 post-fasciotomy debridement, 1 extensor tendon repair of middle finger, 1 carpal tunnel decompression, 1 2ndry repair of tendon, 1 washout & debridement, 1 DHS, 1 ORIF #radius.
Then another week, I did 2 CHS, 1 cannulated hip screw, 1 Thompsons hemiarthroplasty.
I've seen a billion CHS's, ORIF's, K-wirings, and patella stabilisations with or without Goldthwaite's procedures. I'm still after an intramedullary nailing, and a hip prosthesis removal (nearly got one, but it was delayed til 9pm, and I was starving...).
51. My last CHS was a 90year old dear, who happily let me use her as my first real cannulation. Only two tries, and I was in! I also got to intubate! *dances* Well, I got to pop the ET tube down while the anaesthetist held the laryngoscope (I have a tendency to take people's teeth out with it...) but I'm still counting it!
77. The 36 hours of ambulancing didn't yield any trauma, but 2 days with a BASICS doc did. Kinda. We went to an 'entrapment/rollover of pregnant woman', but she self extricated before our arrival, so all we did was assess, medicate, and follow to hospital (via a pub for a much needed cup of tea!).
78. I have this one figured out already. Trauma elective - HEMS & The Royal London :D
